Hunters Realm Forums is not-for-profit web site that began as "Hunters Realm" in the summer of 1998 by founders "Timberwolf" and "Carcajou", and today comprises of the URLs: huntersrealmforums.com and realmoutfitters.com.

Since its inception, this site's purpose has been to provide gaming support and a home for the virtual hunting community. While we try our best to help support the number of hunting games available today, we are not tied to one specific developer or publisher. We are advertisement-free; we do not operate this site to generate a profit, as we simply enjoy these great games and the virtual hunting community that plays them. We offer our thanks to the game developers and publishers in the past and of today who continue to support this genre of gaming.


Expectations of Conduct:

Hunters Realm Forums was created to benefit of all members, young and old alike. As such, our forums are moderated for content; the majority opinion of the staff is the deciding factor in many problematic cases. Any violation of the rules outlined below can result in the author being banned from the message board permanently.

Message Content and Respect to the Membership:

1. No messages will be permitted that contain obscene or offensive language, nor will any messages intended to degrade another member or result in a "foul" post according to the staffs' opinion. No words altered in order to bypass the obscenity censor will be permitted. Such posts will be removed without warning, and if the situation is considered serious enough, it can result in a member being banned from this message board and all events.

2. Everyone deserves respect, even if his or her opinion differs from your own. Posts intended to disrespect or harass other members will not be tolerated. Posts intended to infuriate the message board or encourage illegal behavior (example: software piracy) will not be tolerated. Remember that “Freedom of Speech” does not apply to a private message board. Hunters Realm Forums is a private message board and is not funded publicly or by any game development companies.

3. Bashing and trolling are strictly monitored and will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, such subjects as nationality, race, games, sports, our members, or other hunting communities. Discussions are permitted that are based on factual information as long as the thread remains civil. The staff will decide whether a thread may remain open or not, and maintains the right to remove or edit offensive posts.

4. Hunters Realm Forums and Realm Outfitters are gaming communities built around several different hunting games that people compete with on a regular basis. With that, we will not tolerate posts or links to "cheat" or "trainer" resources designed to manipulate the many tournaments around the virtual hunting community. "Cheats" that result in a trophy animal marked as such by the game are permitted. Unacceptable posts or links will be removed without warning, and if the situation is considered serious enough, it can result in a member being banned from this message board and all events.

5. You are responsible for what occurs on your computer and on your IP address. If other people have access to your computer or your static IP address, we strongly recommend that you “log off” of your message board identity when leaving and keep your password secret. Any objectionable posts made under your identity or IP address will be assumed as posts made by you with your approval. The sharing of your account with a banned/suspended member can be grounds for being banned or suspended yourself.

6. Each member will possess only one identity in the message board. Occasional changes to your identity are fine, but posting messages using several separate identities is not acceptable. Possessing more than one identity may result in a permanent ban. Any member who has a functional account on this message board is prohibited from attempting to create a new account without the express written permission of the Hunters Realm staff.

7. Changing names: You may request a name change directly from a staff member. Frequent name change requests may be denied at the discretion of the staff.

8. Although Hunters Realm Forums caters to many different nationalities, we are for the most part an English-speaking forum and require posts to be written in English.

9. Absolutely no commercial advertising is permitted without the prior written consent of a staff member of Hunters Realm Forums. If you register here to simply post ads or link to commercial web sites, you will be removed from these forums and the posts deleted. This includes using the forum email and Private Message system to advertise or infuriate other members. Posts made in the "Walkie Talkie" forum that direct members to hunting-related games may be permitted, but at the discretion of the staff.


Forum Guidelines:

Create messages in their appropriate forum. Open discussions on virtually any topic can be made in "Walkie-Talkie". Each game we support has its own forum, so we ask that you please post specific game-related posts in their corresponding forum. Posts found in the inappropriate forums will be moved.


Signature Policy:

1. Up to two graphics are allowed for personal signatures, but they must meet the following requirements: Your combined signature must be less than 200 kilobytes in file size and comprise of no more than 5 lines of text. The physical size of your widest banner or the combined width of multiple banners must not exceed 450 pixels wide by 450 pixels high to accommodate those members with lower-resolution displays. Graphics are restricted to jpg, png, and gif format only; php, flash graphics and dynamic IP gathering graphics are not allowed. Animated gifs are allowed, however, they must meet the above requirements.

If, for whatever reason, the administrative staff cannot read the properties of your graphics or they may be considered offensive/degrading, they will be removed. Signatures will be monitored, and if yours is found to be outside the limits, it will be removed and you will be notified by PM. Repeat problems may result in loss of signature privileges. Hunters Realm may change these guidelines at any time for optimal board performance. The image must be stored on your own server or at an image hosting service. Regardless of where the image is stored, the response time to acquire the image cannot noticeably slow the message board down, else it will have to be removed.

2. Any images or graphics deemed obscene, offensive, retaliating against administrative actions, or otherwise controversial will not be tolerated and will be removed. The staff of Hunters Realm Forums will make these determinations.

3. Any signature line, graphic, personal title, or post that appears to misrepresent a regular member as a Staff member of Hunters Realm or game company representative will result in the user being banned from this message board.

4. Personal avatars must fit within the forums specified sizes: 80 pixels by 80 pixels and be no more than 40kb in file size.


Important Notes:

1. For your protection, we recommend that members do not release their full name, address, or phone number(s) on this message board. If a member wins a tournament or other contest offering a game or other tangible prize, a Staff member of Hunters Realm will need your name and shipping information. The winner(s) will be contacted by a staff member (via PM) for this information. No regular members will ever be asked to contact you for your personal information. If a non-staff member does ask for this information in regards to a tournament or other event, please do not respond to their PM, but instead, forward the message to a staff member immediately. Any contact information you provide will be kept strictly confidential by the Hunters Realm Staff. If you have any questions about our privacy policy or if you are unsure about a person contacting you for this information, please contact a staff member.

2. Any attempts to “break”, “crack”, "hack", or otherwise gain unauthorized access to any of our servers will result in criminal prosecution.

3. The Expectations of Conduct are subject to change. This post will be modified with any changes, and an announcement made in this forums.
